Maryborough Railway Station
No visit to Maryborough is complete without seeing the historic railway station. The railway station was completed in 1891 and Mark Twain remarked when visiting ,“You can put the whole population of Maryborough into it, with a sofa a piece, and have room for more.” Whilst marvelling over the grandeur of the building itself, take the time to visit the Museum of Australian History & Art and stop by the Railway Café & Tracks Bar for a bit to eat. With daily timetables it has never been easier to travel by train to Maryborough, so if leaving your car at home appeals just hop on the train from Melbourne or Ballarat and come and discover all that Maryborough has to offer!
